Terri Davidson serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Vice-President of Finance for Syntaxx Communications. She founded Syntaxx Communications, Inc. in 1997 and is responsible for achieving the company’s strategic objectives and profitability standards as well as securing capital and financial planning.
Terri brings more than 25 years of practical and clinical experience in oncology healthcare, team management, and sales in the medical communications arena to Syntaxx Communications. She possesses extensive medical writing and editing experience and has contributed significantly to the publication of more than 250 articles, book chapters, books, abstracts, and posters.
Before founding Syntaxx Communications, Terri provided and managed the pharmaceutical care for medical oncology, surgical oncology, hematology, and blood and marrow transplant patients for nearly 15 years at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She also conducted and published oncology-related clinical research and directed the oncology pharmacy residency and student training at Emory.
Licensed by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy since 1981, Terri is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP). She was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) in 1993 and the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) in 1994. Terri has held numerous committee appointments for various organizations and associations, including the ACCP, ASHP, and Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA). She is also a member of the American Medical Writers Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the International Society for Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners.
Terri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Georgia and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky School of Pharmacy.
Rachael Anderson serves as the Project Coordinator for Syntaxx Communications. She works closely with the Project Management Administrator to keep the company organized at both corporate and departmental levels, as well as initiating marketing projects.
Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism & Mass Communication from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Her background is in Marketing, Administrative Assistance, and Operations.
Reginna James serves as the Bookkeeper for Syntaxx Communications. She works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to keep the company’s books intact and helps to assist with all financial initiatives.
Reginna holds an Associate's Degree in Accounting from Rasmussen College in Bloomington, Minnesota. With a fondness for numbers, Reginna has 20 years of experience in accounting and has worked in a variety of industries including the medical field.
Shauna Coleman serves as the Project Management Administrator for Syntaxx Communications. She oversees business processes, project management software, and supports the daily activities of the Medical Writing and Editing staff ensuring compliance with project-related software packages, company-issued policies and procedures, and company-defined processes. Shauna works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to develop, manage, and maintain key business processes and project implementation plans as well as coordinates and helps train on company software rollouts.
With more than 14 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Project Management Administrator, Shauna has worked for both large and small companies in the Healthcare Information Technology and Publishing sectors. She helps to guide process improvement initiatives and keep the company organized and ready for existing and new clients.
Shauna holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University.
Violette Sun-Basorun serves as the Director of Medical Communications for Syntaxx Communications. She is responsible for the supervision and management of the Medical Writing Division employees, and the coordination and development of a variety of medical communications products and services for various clients. She works closely and collaboratively with clients, leadership team and staff to ensure the provision of innovative, accurate, high-quality, and timely medical communications solutions.
Violette brings almost 10 years of clinical practice experience in hematology and oncology, academia, and clinical research to the Medical Writing and Editing Team. Her prior experiences in the inpatient and ambulatory healthcare settings include but are not limited to, hematology & oncology clinical pharmacist specialist, oncology pharmacy residency coordinator, assistant professor of clinical and administrative pharmacy, and clinical preceptor.
Violette holds a dual Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters in Business Administration degree from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina and active pharmacist licenses with the North Carolina and Georgia State Boards of Pharmacy. She is a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP), and continues to be an active member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA), the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (GSHP), and the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP). She is also a member of the Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Academic Honor Society, and Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Honor Society.
Sarah Hansen brings over 13 years of clinical practice experience in pediatric hematology and oncology and clinical research. Her prior experiences in the inpatient and ambulatory healthcare settings include, but are not limited to, hematology and oncology clinical pharmacist, advanced clinical specialist, and clinical preceptor. She has experience in pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, chemotherapy, biologic and immunotherapy. She has served on an active institutional review board for the last 6 years and has participated in numerous research projects.
Sarah holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and active pharmacist and pharmacy preceptor licenses in the state of Texas. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Children’s Health in Dallas, TX. She is a Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS) and continues to be an active member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) and Children’s Oncology Group (COG).
